Joe on aviation insurance philosophy

Who we are

Purpose, direction and principles.

Three ideas that shape every decision — from how policies are placed to how clients are treated.

01 — Our WHy

Insurance is personal. When someone knows you—and you know them—it becomes harder to hide behind titles, systems, or corporate walls. We chose to put our name on this company because it represents who we are, how we conduct ourselves, and the reputation we are committed to earning every day. We want our clients to know exactly who is advising them, servicing their policies, and standing beside them when they need help. We believe the strongest relationships are built through familiarity, honesty, integrity, accountability, and trust. We seek to work with aviation business owners and individuals who value those principles and want a long-term advisor, not simply an insurance transaction.

02 — Our Mission

Our mission is to use our aviation and insurance expertise to help everyone—whether they are a client or not—better understand their exposure, make confident coverage decisions, protect what they have built, and support the continued growth of their aviation businesses.

We accomplish this by:

  • Explaining insurance clearly so people understand what they are purchasing and why it matters.
  • Learning about each client’s business, operations, goals, and specific exposures.
  • Providing knowledgeable, practical, and confident coverage recommendations.
  • Treating every client, employee, underwriter, and industry partner with respect and dignity.
  • Delivering consistent, responsive, and dependable service.
  • Continuously learning, training, and monitoring the aviation insurance market so our advice remains accurate and current.
  • Building lasting relationships based on trust, transparency, and shared success.

FAQ

what you need to know

Yes! Many flight schools recommend or require students to carry their own coverage.

If you instruct, yes. A basic renter policy may not cover liability from instruction unless CFI coverage is added.

Enough to cover the value of the aircraft you fly, the deductible you’d owe under the rental agreement, and possible loss of use. Review your limit before moving up to a more valuable aircraft.

Your responsibility for damage to an aircraft you don't own, up to your limit. It’s separate from the owner’s hull coverage and can cover the deductible you’d owe the owner.

It may protect the owner without fully protecting you, and the owner’s insurer may be able to recover its loss from you. A renters policy covers your own liability and damage exposure.

After the policy term, the insurer reviews actual payroll, job duties, states, and contractors. Your final premium can go up or down, so keep payroll records organized by classification throughout the year.

Yes. Flight, maintenance, line service, and office work are rated differently. Tracking payroll by job duty keeps office staff from being rated at pilot rates.

Not automatically. A contract or 1099 doesn't always decide it; state law and the actual work matter. Collect certificates of insurance from subcontractors, or their pay may be added to your audit.

Usually not. Employee injuries are typically excluded from aircraft liability policies. Workers comp is designed for work related injuries, including crew injured in an aircraft accident.

It depends on your state, entity type, employee count, and job duties. Contracts and airport leases may require it even when the law doesn’t, so check every state where your employees work.

03 — Our Guiding Principles

Be Known and Accountable

Clients should know who is responsible for their insurance program. We provide direct access to the person who advises on, places, and services the policy. We take ownership of our recommendations and remain accessible throughout the relationship.

Know the Client

We take the time to understand each client’s operation, business model, challenges, and long-term goals. Better advice begins with a deeper understanding of the person, assets, and businesses we are protecting.

Educate Before We Recommend

We do not simply present a quote. We explain coverage differences, exclusions, limitations, pricing considerations, and available options so clients can make informed decisions with confidence.

Communicate Directly and Honestly

We provide straightforward answers, even when the answer is difficult or not what the client hoped to hear. We communicate clearly, avoid unnecessary complexity, and never allow uncertainty to remain hidden behind insurance language.

Respond with Urgency and Care

We respond promptly while still taking the time to fully understand the issue. Speed matters, but accuracy, judgment, and thoughtful service matter more.

Represent the Client in the Market

We translate each client’s operation into the information aviation underwriters need to properly evaluate the risk. We present the strengths of the business, address concerns honestly, and advocate for the best available coverage and pricing.

Provide Transparent Market Analysis

We approach the aviation insurance market thoroughly and transparently. Each policy cycle, we evaluate all market options, explain the results, and help each client understand the tradeoffs between coverage, pricing, carrier strength, and service.

Protect Confidential Information

We treat client information with care, discretion, and respect. Confidentiality, cybersecurity, and responsible information handling are essential parts of the trust placed in us.

Make Insurance Easier

We continuously improve our applications, quoting, binding, servicing, and renewal processes to reduce the client’s workload. Our goal is to provide a simple, direct, and professional experience from the first conversation through every renewal and claim.

Never Stop Learning

Aviation businesses, aircraft, regulations, insurance policies, and underwriting conditions continually change. We remain students of both aviation and insurance, so our clients receive relevant, knowledgeable, and current advice.

Remain Hands-On

We stay involved from the initial application through market negotiations, binding, policy service, claims support, and renewal. We do not disappear after the policy is placed.
